The Best Blogging Courses Available this year

Blogging is a fascinating business but also very competitive and if you want to get it right fast you may want to ask for help from blogging experts.

Before becoming a successful blogger and making blogging my full-time job I joined several courses that help me figure out how to get there.

At the beginning, I was wandering in the dark, writing random posts on topics that I felt like writing about, but nobody would read them. So what´s the point?

When I decided to treat my blog like a business I then started to invest money and time in learning what I didn’t know and that lead me to where I am now, not exactly where I want to be but on my way there!

Why buy a blogging course if I can find anything on the internet?

In this post, I have put together a list of the best blogging courses available on the market, with my personal review and pros and cons for each one. I hope it will help you figure out which is the best course for you.

I am sure you are wondering whether purchasing a course is more helpful than finding information on the web. I was there too so I know the struggle. And sometimes I wonder that too.

But after the latest course I purchase I realized that not all courses are made equal, AND, most of all, different students have different results. In other words, what works for me may not work for you.

Before moving on to share what are some of the best blogging courses on the market, I would like to explain why a blogging course will make it easier to be successful in the business of blogging nowadays.

Becoming a professional blogger today is not as easy as it was 10 years ago when writing good content was just about enough to rank on the first page of Google.

Now it’s a totally different game and I have learned it the hard way during the first 5-years of my blogging journey.

Writing great content is just an important part of the business, but there are many other factors at play and that’s why I needed help if I wanted to master it.

I have now a profitable blog that generates a full-time income and I am very proud of the results I have achieved so far.

But I know for a fact that I got there only thanks to the teachings of the courses I bought. Having an online business also requires constant learning and staying up to date with the latest news on Blogging.

You can find so much information online but taking a blogging course, if it’s good, is a great way to learn from the best and save time from searching.

To be a full-time blogger nowadays it’s not enough to be a good writer, although it’s a good start and an essential element of blogging. But that goes without saying.

You also need to learn all the necessary skill sets that will allow you to write blog posts that rank on google’s first page. And so it goes for affiliates.

You cannot just randomly place an affiliate link and hope for the best. There are specific strategies to learn and investing in a good course is the best gift you can give yourself if you are serious about blogging as a career, of course.

But if you are here, I guess you have an idea of what it takes to be a professional blogger right now and you may want to start off in the right way from the very beginning. This article is a great place to start your search.

A good online course, in fact, will help you understand everything about the business and what it takes to be a successful blogger.

Before diving into my favorite online courses about blogging I would suggest you bookmark my post on the 8 mistakes to avoid if you want to be a professional blogger and check out what are the advantages and disadvantages of blogging as a career for later so that you will start your courses with the right mindset.

The other thing I would like you to know is that these courses that I am about to share with you are not the absolute holy grail.

They work if YOU do.

But also, they may not, depending on your level of knowledge, your commitment, or if you like the teaching style.

I know that because I have been there. I thought I have wasted money on courses that were teaching everything I knew already, or so I thought.

However, there was just one detail. I was not successful despite “knowing everything”.

How come? Because I didn’t implement what I knew (or thought I knew) in my blogging strategy. I actually didn’t even have a strategy. I was just going with the wind.

Sometimes you know everything in theory, but following a blogging course step by step, it’s a way to actually do the work, the necessary work that will take you to the next level.

If you are a new blogger, any GOOD blogging course will definitely save you loads of time because you don’t have to go through the ocean of information available on the web.

Instead, the best courses organize all the information well and make it available for you to learn, digest, and master.

That is what defines a great blogging course.

Sometimes you will find a “free blogging course” advertised, especially if you did one search on blogging courses (Ah! cookies!).

These are indeed free and offer valuable content but they are also a way for the course creator to sell their product, showing how much they know and the value their course will provide (if, and only if, you do the work, of course )

I suggest you always grab a free course. Why not? It will always have something to teach you. And then you decide if you want to move forward and buy the main course.

Mind that even if you are an experienced blogger you can still learn from some courses. I know I will never stop buying new courses. I know that there is always something new to learn, especially with the internet space evolving at such a fast pace.

All in all, let’s say it, investing in a GOOD blogging course is the best way to reduce the learning curve and see your own blog succeed fast.

Enough now with the introduction, let’s dive into each one of my favorite blogging courses.

The best blogging courses available this year

I never get tired to mention it. These are the courses that worked for me and I think they brought a lot of value to my blogging career, but I invite you to do your own research, read the reviews, check what they are offering, and decide with your own judgment and not only because another successful blogger suggested it.

I did the same mistake of buying a Pinterest course just because a popular blogger was vouching for it, without doing my own research, and I ended up VERY disappointed. Don’t do the same blogging mistake. Do the work!

1. Scale your travel blog

Scale your Travel Blog, by Laura and Mike, is the latest blogging course I took, and after almost a year in it I can easily say it’s the best Travel Blogging course available on the market, by far and for many reasons which I will tell you in a bit.

I took this course when I already considered myself an advanced blogger already because I was at a point where I couldn’t see how to take my blogging career to a different level.

I was afraid it was too basic for me and not valuable. In fact, if you are a beginner blogger Laura and Mike course will definitely help you get from beginner to pro in a heartbeat.

However, as an advanced blogger, I was afraid that it wouldn’t bring me the same value for that amount of money.

It was the highest investment I did on blogging ever and I was scared that I was throwing money in the toilet. So I took the free course where I had the chance to get to know laura and I loved the way she teaches and her vibe (very important for me).

So I booked a 5 minutes private chat with her and shared my doubts. She clearly explained how she would address my situation and the results I could have achieved with her teaching. I was convinced and made the payment.

I still went through the basic course classes even though I already knew about SEO and many other topics but there is always something that you may miss.

To cut the story short, after 9 months into the course I am very satisfied with how I grew my blog thanks to all the tips I learned in this course.

Another aspect of this course that I found valuable is the Facebook group, a safe place where people share their concerns and questions, and Laura with her team always offer great advice and tips.

She also goes live very often to share words of wisdom and answer our questions.

I understood that she has been offering different course packages so before purchasing yours make sure you have a clear understanding of what your purchase includes, to avoid disappointments.

Other than that, in my opinion, this is the course you need to get from beginner to pro in your blogging career, if you are determined.

2. Blogging Fast Lane by Anna and Tom from Adventure in You

Blogging fast lane is a great and thorough beginner course about blogging, very well structured and complete with all the necessary information you need to have from the very beginning.

They offer a blueprint of the perfect blogging journey from finding your audience and choosing the right theme, and host to set up your blog, to the basics of SEO (Serch Engine Optimization) and how search engines work, how to structure your site, and a blog post, how to build an email list and much more.

They complement their video classes with cheat sheets, downloadable files, and actionable tasks.

You will have access to a Facebook group where you can interact with fellow students and also ask questions to the teachers.

But because it is so complete, if you are an advanced blogger you may find that you are already mastering most of the information included in the course.

However, as I mentioned earlier, if you are an advanced blogger but with little success, going through the classes my help you audit your own strategy and maybe change it. If it didn’t work, there must be something wrong. (Note to self)

If you are a beginner blogger this course will save you loads of time by presenting everything you need to know about blogging in a very organized structure with actionable steps.

That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t continue learning about blogging and reading from other sources.

It is always a good idea to constantly learn from many sources (some of them available for free) but Blogging Fast Lane will take you by the hand and guide you through the blogging journey with a very precise and proven method.

3. Stupid Simple SEO by Mike Pearson

I have just completed Stupid Simple SEO by Mike Pearson and I found it a life-changer. It opened a new world of possibilities and growth for my blog.

SSSEO, as the title might suggest, focuses mainly on SEO (search engine optimization), but it’s not just an SEO course. It’s much more than that. More precisely, Mike offers a step-by-step process on how to find easy keywords to rank for, by analyzing your competitors.

It uses the Ahrefs tool which is expensive but if you use the 7 days trials available for 7 USD it is enough for the scope of the course.

The course also covers how to be successful with affiliates and how to build backlinks. It also gives you general knowledge of SEO best practices, how to structure a post, and how to perform an SEO audit on your post, in addition to crafting new ones in the correct way to successfully rank on Google’s first page.

SSEO students have access to the private group where Mike’s assistant replies to all your queries and doubts very efficiently.

For whom is SSEO course

SSEO course is for those advanced bloggers who want to find a new keyword strategy to write content that ranks. But also for beginner bloggers that already have a blog and know what they are doing but want to learn about SEO.

Seriously, I wish I took this course before. At this time I would have a six-figure blog!

However, throughout your subscription time, Jessy actively interacts with the students with valuable emails, challenges to keep you on your toes, and important information and updates.
