To help you find the best options, I’ve enlisted the expertise of professional travel bloggers who have shared their favorite budget-friendly destinations for solo female travelers in August.

Whether you’re looking for hidden gems or savvy travel hacks, this guide has you covered for an unforgettable solo adventure.

Lublin – Poland

Lublin Poland

Lublin is Poland’s hidden gem and one of the most underrated cities in Europe. Compared to other Polish cities, it flies under the radar, but that’s a good thing! Fewer crowds mean a chance to explore the city at your own pace—no shoulder-to-shoulder sightseeing here!

Lublin’s charm goes beyond sight. Locals love its youthful energy, thanks to the large university population. There are always festivals, art exhibits, or outdoor concerts happening.

Accommodation is super reasonable, with hotels and Airbnb averaging around $40-$60 a night, and in some places, you may pay as little as $30 per night! Plus, the city is compact and walkable, so you won’t waste time or money on taxis.

Safety-wise, Lublin is a breeze. The locals are friendly and helpful, and the city has a relaxed vibe. You may easily go out in the evening solo or do a pub crawl alone. In general, the crime rate in Poland is low, and Polish cities are considered to be among the safest in Europe!

The best thing to do in Lublin is visit the Old Town. Its cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and lively square invite for a walk. Don’t miss the Cracow Gate and the Grodzka Gate, two historic gateways that used to be the city’s entrance points.

If you like history, you’ll love the Lublin Castle! Explore the imposing castle perched on a hill and enjoy the views from its tower.

Another place you definitely need to visit is the Majdanek State Museum. It’s a somber but important experience. This former Nazi concentration camp is now a museum that sheds light on a dark chapter in history.

Santa Marta, Colombia

Santa Marta – Colombia

Santa Marta, Colombia, is a fantastic, affordable destination and is a great way to step away from the tourist crowds of Medellín and Cartagena.  This beautiful beach town is located on the northern border of Colombia, less than a 90-minute flight from either Medellín or Bogota.

For solo female travelers, Santa Marta is the starting point for most guided multi-day trek tours to the Lost City archeological site in Tayrona National Park.  Besides this iconic trek, Tayrona Sailing offers an incredible Santa Marta sunset tour where you’ll be taken out on a boat with a group to enjoy the beautiful views from Taganga Bay.

Within the town itself, you can take a historical walking tour of the town that includes a stop at the Parque de Novios, the Santa Marta Cathedral, and El Camellón with its panoramic views over the Caribbean.

Hotels and Airbnb are very inexpensive in Santa Marta.  The Oasis Fresh Hotel, one of our favorites, is only $53 a night, includes breakfast, and is right next to the beach.  Airbnbs gets as cheap as $15 a night for those looking for even more affordable options.

Santa Marta is located in the Magdalena district of Colombia and is considered safe for travelers. You’ll still want to follow the safety basics of keeping your valuables out of sight and not wandering alone at night, but we found the city full of bustling shops and felt completely safe the entire time.

Poznan, Poland

Poznan POnland

I flew for four days to the city of Poznan in Poland, and I was really pleasantly surprised by the city. I decided to fly there only because I found a cheap flight, and I was very happy that it was my destination.

Poznan is a magical and calm city with a colorful city center, many parks, and lakes. It is not touristy, and everything there is cheap.

Accommodation prices range from 15 euros per night for a hostel in a dorm room to 80 euros per night for a 5-star hotel room. I slept in a single room at Retro Hostel in the city center.

Recommended things to do in Poznan: visit the botanical gardens. The entrance is free, and you can easily get there by train. After that, continue on foot to Lake Rusalka. If you would like to ride a bike, there are bicycle rental stations in the lake area. Another thing I recommend is a beer tour with the City Event Pozan company. It’s a fun and interesting tour with special and surprising beers, and don’t miss the 3D art wall (directions).

Poznan is an excellent destination for a solo trip for many reasons:

  1. A calm and pleasant city
  2. Kind people
  3. The city center is not big, and it is very easy to get there.
  4. I felt really safe wandering there alone, even at night (I recommend sleeping in the city center because that’s the area I slept in, and I had a lot of fun).

Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic

karlovy vary czech rep colorful houses along side a river

Karlovy Vary is a great affordable destination to visit in the Czech Republic, in August. I visited the city for two night a couple of years ago and I was impressed on how budget-friendly everything is. I booked an apartment a 20 minutes walk from the old town, and paid less than 20 euros a night. I felt very safe walking alone back, at night.

Karlovy Vary is definitely worth visiting as it offers so many different things.

For solo female travellers, Karlovy Vary is a great destination. I would highly recommend going to one of the spas for which the town is so famous for. Don’t miss drinking the spring water using a specific Czech spa mug, where you drink through the handle. There are 15 springs in Karlovy Vary, all with different medicinal properties.

They are very cheap, and you can buy them near the springs. Joining a walking tour is a great way to explore this colorful town. If you travel alone, this is a great way to make new friends. August is also when the film festival happens. I was lucky to be there at this exact time, and the city was just buzzing with people.

Don’t miss the delicious food in Karlovy Vary! Czech cuisine is hearty and delicious, and it won’t break the bank. And you must try the spa wafers – they’re addictive!

Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan Horse Trekking

Solo female travelers look no further because August is a great time to visit Kyrgyzstan, one of my favorite countries in the entire world! It’s beautiful, has a fascinating history and is off the beaten track, so you can explore without the crowds.

August is smack bang in the middle of summer in Kyrgyzstan, so the weather will be warm and perfect for partaking in the many outdoor activities this country has to offer.

Kyrgyzstan is primarily a country geared towards outdoor activities, so summer is the best time to get outside and enjoy the stunning scenery. The best activities for solo female travelers are hiking, horse trekking, and spending the night in a yurt camp.

The main attractions to visit include Tash Rabat, an ancient Silk Road caravanserai, the Tian Shan Mountains, and, of course, one of the country’s many stunning alpine lakes

Kyrgyzstan is very affordable. At my favorite hostel in Bishkek, you can get a dorm bed for less than $15/ night and a private room for around $30. Outside of Bishkek, prices are even cheaper.

It’s also very safe—so safe, in fact, that I rate it as one of the top destinations for solo female travelers. Crime is almost non-existent in Kyrgyzstan, and violent crime is even more so. Even scams are rare—although you must watch out for taxi drivers—they will always try to overcharge!

In addition, there’s a growing network of hostels and small guesthouses, so it’s easy to meet other travelers and tee up for tours or hikes. You won’t feel lonely or have to go hiking solo (unless you want to, of course!).

South Korea

South Korea Pagoda
Two ladies dressed in traditional Korean clothing (hanboks) at Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul.

South Korea is an affordable destination to visit in August for many reasons.

Let’s start by getting the bad part out of the way. Accommodation is one area where Korea isn’t very budget-friendly. A bed in Seoul, for example, costs around £25+ per night, whereas elsewhere in the country, a night’s accommodation costs £10-20+.

If we look at activities, one thing that solo female travelers love is taking pictures in the Insta-friendly Hanok villages of Ikseondong and Bukchon.

A hanbok is a traditional Korean house, and both villages have many beautiful buildings and activities ranging from photo booths to cafes and restaurants.

Another popular activity for solo female travelers is visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace. Arguably Seoul’s most famous sight, it’s very popular as visitors love to rent hanboks (traditional Korean clothing) from local stores for memorable photos.

Also, don’t miss out on Myeongdong, which has famous street markets full of popular Korean foods!

Korea is great for solo travelers because it is super safe and (accommodation aside) very affordable. It only costs around £15 to travel halfway across the country on a return ticket.

It’s one of the safest countries in the world and one of very few where you can walk alone at night and shouldn’t have any problems. The main danger here is traffic, especially drivers who ignore red lights.

One unique destination within the country is the DMZ. You can take a day trip from Seoul to the North Korea border, learn about the history between the two countries, and even peer across into the hermit state.

South Korea is a great place to spend your summer holidays!

Lugano Switzerland

Lugano Lake with yellow flower in the foreground

For an affordable destination in August, consider your next location to the beautiful Mediterranean location of Lugano in Switzerland.

Don’t let the country Switzerland put you off as a solo traveler, as there are lots of benefits and affordable options to visit – especially in the southern region of Ticino.

Lugano is a great place for many who come for the Swiss experience but with Italian culture and cuisine. Pizza and pasta are on most menus, Aperol spritz, and local treats like polenta and risotto. Lugano is also a great place for relaxation, with a local spa, nature areas, parks, and a lake. During summer, many events are hosted by locals, like yoga, meditation, and hiking.

You can enjoy many local hikes up to Monte Brè or Monte San Salvatore as a solo traveler. A boat trip on Lake Lugano is perfect when the sun shines, taking you to many little villages around the lake. Then, finish the day wandering around one of the many museums, such as the LAC Art and Culture Museum.

To sleep in Lugano during August, you can find a shared dorm room at a hostel for around 40 CHF a night and a local hotel for around 80 CHF a night. This may not be as affordable as other locations, but it’s a bargain compared to the northern Swiss city of Zurich.

For practical tips, when you stay local, you’ll receive access to the Ticino Ticket – which allows free transportation and discounts on city activities, which is great for saving money.

Lugano is also very safe. Switzerland is one of the safest countries in Europe, and I have lived here for two years and have never had any issues or problems as a female.

Maldives

Maafushi Island Maldives

Maldives is the perfect destination for solo female travelers in August. Known for rich marine life, overwater villas, and crystal-clear blue waters, this tropical country is a paradise for any beach lover! Maldives is a Muslim country comprising more than 2000 islands, divided between local and private islands!

Though this is famous with honeymooners, it is equally popular with solo budget travelers, as it’s possible to visit the Maldives on a budget!

Male is the capital and main international airport. It is well connected with all the international destinations. August is off-season, but that will not make it less beautiful! It may rain in a few days, but the sky is mostly clear with beautiful water!

The private islands of Maldives are mostly overwater villas but local islands are perfect for solo female travellers with options of a wide range of budget hotels.

The locals are friendly, and you can do various activities during your stay. Note that bikinis are banned on local islands, but they have designated Bikini Beach for all local islands!

The prices for accommodations can range from $30-$50 for Airbnb or hotel. You can expect to spend $500-$600 for a week trip! Visit nearby sand banks, go on a snorkeling tour, or indulge in water sports. You can get around by taking local ferries and visiting other islands for a few days!

The islands of Maafushi, Gulhi, Fulidhoo, etc, are famous with solo female backpackers. You can even see a private island resort on a day trip to relax on the private beach!

Sri Lanka

two cows on a beach in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka’s East Coast is an excellent and affordable destination for solo female travelers in August.

It’s budget-friendly, there’s lots to do, and August is in the middle of the region’s dry season, so you can expect pleasant weather and calm coastal waters.

While Sri Lanka is quickly becoming a popular tourist destination, the East Coast is still relatively off the beaten track and has largely avoided the mass development seen on the West Coast. This means it has retained its authentic charm. The main beach, Uppuveli, is a large village, and when staying there, you feel like you’re part of the community rather than a tourist.

There are plenty of things to do, but the best activities for solo female travelers are going on a snorkelling trip, beach hopping and exploring the fascinating Hindu temples peppered along the coast.

There are many beautiful beaches along the East Coast, so choosing can be difficult. Arugam Bay is the surfing capital, Nilaveli is simply stunning, and Marble Beach is a hidden gem for a fun day trip.

The Kandaswamy Kovil is a beautiful Hindu temple and a worthwhile day trip from Trincomalee. Fort Frederick, a seafront Portuguese fort, is also worth visiting.

If you’re looking for budget accommodation, a clean room with air conditioning in a simple guesthouse costs around $15/night. Yes, it’s very affordable.

Finally, Sri Lanka is a safe country, even for solo female travelers. The biggest concern is pickpocketing, which is concentrated in train/bus stations and on extremely crowded public transportation.

However, even this is minor. In our seven weeks of traveling extensively throughout Sri Lanka, we only heard of one incident.

Montenegro

When it comes to solo female travelers, Montenegro has a lot to offer, including safety, public transport, English-speaking locals, and affordable accommodation options. You can fly to Podgorica or Tivat Airport from almost all the major European cities. August in Montenegro is the high season, where beaches are usually packed. The warm and dry weather makes it perfect for walking tours and hiking.

The capital city of Podgorica, along with towns like Budva and Kotor, are a must for your itinerary. These towns are connected by bus or comfortably reachable by taxi, making Montenegro an ideal destination for a solo female traveler. I suggest checking these tips for solo female travelers to have a wonderful time when exploring new places alone.

Spend a day in Podgorica, wandering around the old town or Stara Varoš. Stop by the Orthodox Temple of Christ’s Resurrection, find the street art while strolling, and stop by the centuries-old clock tower.

Budva is a lovely town where travelers enjoy the combination of sandy beaches, a seaside citadel, and several religious landmarks like the Church of Sveti Ivan. You can head to Mogren Beach, Drobni Pijesak Beach, or Hawaii Beach.

When spending a day in Kotor, this fortified town has fascinating tales of the past to whisper. Step back in time while walking along the old city walls and hiking to the Kotor Fortress.

Lovćen National Park and Lake Skadar National Park are perfect for nature lovers. When hiking here, you can opt for a tour with a local guide and an enthusiastic group of travelers.

Niagara Falls, Canada

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls, Canada, is a fantastic choice for solo female travelers looking for an affordable and enjoyable trip. Accommodations here won’t break the bank, with hotel rooms averaging around $80-$150 per night and Airbnbs often available for even less, especially if you book in advance or visit during the off-season.

There’s plenty to keep you entertained. Unique attractions like the sheer power and beauty of Horseshoe Falls and the Niagara Parkway are free and make this destination truly special. A must-do is the iconic boat ride to the base of the falls with Hornblower Niagara Cruises, or see the falls from a different perspective with Journey Behind the Falls

I also love the vibrant local scene of Clifton Hill, which is filled with quirky attractions like haunted houses, museums (my favorites are the wax museums), arcades, and the famous Sky Wheel. You can also indulge in some shopping in the boutique and souvenir shops.

If you would instead be surrounded by nature, I suggest visiting the Butterfly Conservatory, where you can wander among thousands of beautiful butterflies or the easy hiking trails of the Niagara Glen Nature Reserve.

Niagara Falls is particularly appealing for solo travelers because it’s easy to navigate and has plenty of friendly locals and tourists. It’s also known for being quite safe, with well-lit streets and a strong police presence, particularly in the tourist areas. WEGO, the local bus service, connects key attractions and areas. Walking is also feasible for many attractions.

People are drawn to Niagara Falls for its welcoming atmosphere, variety of activities, the natural beauty of the falls, and lively entertainment options. It’s a place where you can feel the power of nature one moment and enjoy a great meal or a fun night out the next.

Montreal

Montreal sign

Montreal is the perfect choice for an August trip.  The weather is perfect, and the long summer days give you plenty of time for sightseeing!

I took a solo trip to Montreal and enjoyed the city’s wide range of attractions, delicious food, and efficient public transportation.  As a solo female traveler, you must always be aware of your surroundings.  I never felt a moment’s worry exploring Montreal.

One of my favorite things about Montreal is its European vibe. You can experience the charm of the Old World without taking a transatlantic flight. While French is the primary language in Montreal, nearly everyone speaks English.

Take advantage of a beautiful day and explore the scenic Mount Royal.  It’s a bit of a climb to reach the park, but you’ll love the panoramic views over the city.  You’ll also want to visit charming Vieux Montreal, the city’s historic center.  See the stunning Notre Dame Basilica or take a spin on Canada’s tallest Ferris wheel!

Even traveling solo, sometimes you want a bit more social interaction.  Taking a walking tour or a food tour in Montreal is a great way to learn more about the city, get local recommendations, and make some new friends.

Hotel costs will vary depending on amenities, but you can find deals for 4-star hotels for under $200 a night, or an Airbnb for under $100 a night.  (Generally, hotels in Vieux Montreal are pricier.)  To save money, look for hotels that include a free breakfast or choose lodging with a kitchenette.

The Canary Islands

Canary Island beach with a palm

Las Palmas, one of the Canary Island‘s capital city, has been attracting digital nomads for a while. With lots of co-working spaces and cafés to work from, Las Palmas is an affordable, nomad-friendly destination that combines the best of city and beach living.

While prices skyrocket in mainland Europe during summer, here you can find an entire flat from £35 per night at the height of peak season. On top of that, because of the island’s privileged location, you can expect to enjoy great weather all year round.

There’s also plenty to do in Las Palmas. If you’re a foodie, head to Mercado Vegueta or Street Market Triana in the Old Town to sample fresh, local produce.

For those who love the outdoors, it’s fairly easy to get around by Guaguás (local buses) and explore other parts of the island, such as Agaete or the tourists’ favorite, Maspalomas Beach. And in case you fancy trying something new, there are plenty of surfing opportunities on La Cícer and El Confital beaches.

In terms of safety, Las Palmas is a great destination for solo female travelers. When I spent two months on the island, I was traveling with my boyfriend but did quite a few things on my own.

Besides the usual safety precautions we women tend to follow by default, I never felt the need to be overly cautious. Plus, I didn’t experience any catcalling, which is something rare for us anywhere else in the world.

Belize

Belize

With lush jungles and pristine Caribbean islands, Belize is a perfect spot for solo female travelers searching for a mix of adventure and relaxation.

This small Caribbean country is located in Central America, bordering Mexico and Guatemala. Belize is an English-speaking country, so it’s easy to get around if you don’t speak Spanish.

Some of the best things to do in Belize include snorkeling along Belize’s incredible barrier reef and at the famous Shark and Ray Alley, exploring waterfalls and caves in the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, climbing ancient Mayan temples, and immersing in island life on one of Belize’s many cayes (islands).

Most visitors split their time between the islands and the mainland to get a taste of the jungle and the Caribbean all in one trip.

San Ignacio town and Caye Caulker are the two most popular areas for budget travelers and backpackers, and you can find affordable hostels in both. You can also find a nice, clean, highly-rated Airbnb for $50-110 a night, depending on the part of the country.

Whether you’re traveling solo or not, it is best to avoid staying in Belize City. There isn’t much to do, and it is considered a less safe part of Belize.

Budapest, Hungary

Budapest Hungary

Budapest in Hungary is an affordable and absolutely stunning destination for solo female travelers. Having visited hundreds of cities across more than 50 countries, I can confidently say Budapest is one of my favorite cities.  August’s warm days (average highs of 27°C) are perfect for exploring the city, while nights are comfortably cool (around 15°C) for enjoying outdoor cafes and evening strolls.

The accommodation costs are very reasonable, with hotels averaging around $50-80 per night and Airbnbs offering even more budget-friendly options, often as low as $30 per night.

With so much to do in Budapest, this city is ideal for solo female travelers. A visit to the famous thermal baths, like Széchenyi or Gellért, offers a fantastic opportunity to relax. Head up to Buda Castle for stunning views over the city or take a stroll along the Danube Promenade, where you can soak in the picturesque scenery and maybe even strike up a conversation with other travellers.

When it comes to safety, Hungary is generally safe and has a low crime rate. According to the IEP, Hungary is the 18th safest country out of 163. However, it’s always wise to stay vigilant, avoid poorly lit areas at night, and keep your belongings secure.

What makes Budapest truly unique is its gorgeous mix of historic architecture and modern cultures, such as the iconic Parliament Building (my favorite place in Budapest!) and the city’s quirky ruin bars.

If you plan a solo trip in August, Budapest should definitely be on your list!

Bali, Indonesia

Bali Beach

There are many affordable places to visit for female solo travelers, but Bali in Indonesia stands out from the rest. For starters, due to its location on Bali Island, it has optimal weather all year, making any time of the year the best time to visit Bali.

Many solo female travelers like to visit this tropical paradise Island because it is a very safe and cheap destination. The Balinese people are very welcoming and kind. They welcome visitors with warm hospitality, and their smiles never leave their faces.

Bali is brimming with things to do for solo female travelers. It is diverse and packed with stunning beaches, beautiful temples, and lush rice fields. If you are a yoga enthusiast and want to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy life, you can visit the cultural and spiritual part of the island, Ubud. It is a heaven on earth for yoga and meditation for all levels.

Second of all, you should definitely visit Uluwatu because it contains some of the best beaches in Bali. For instance, Suluban and Padang Pad beaches are known for their waves, which makes them some of the best destinations for surfing. There are yearly surfing competitions in both beaches, so mark your schedule for an epic experience.

Canggu is another fantastic destination for partygoers. It contains some of the best beach clubs and parties to keep you busy all week. It is a great place to meet other solo female travelers with the same interests. This city never sleeps and is known for its nightlife that people of all ages can enjoy.

The best place for solo female travelers to stay is Batu Balong, Canggu. It is known as the center of all action in town. I would recommend you stay in the Lay Day Hostel Canggu because it is cheap and has a reputation as the most popular hostel in Bali. It costs $12.06, which is 197186.43 IDR.

Aruba

Aruba Sunset over the mountains

Nestled in the Southern Caribbean beside Curacao and Bonaire, Aruba makes for a fun and affordable August travel destination for solo female travelers. From pristine beaches, vibrant culture, rugged landscapes, and nightlife, this charming island is a perfect spot for solo females looking for a mix of relaxation and fun!

Aruba is rated one of the safest Caribbean islands! Nicknamed “One Happy Island”, Aruba is known for its friendliness and warm hospitality. Plus, English is widely spoken, so there’s no need to worry about any language barrier.

There are a number of free things to do in Aruba which helps with budgeting and planning. All of Aruba’s stunning beaches are public, which means they’re free to visit. Visit Tres Trapi for a chance to snorkel with sea turtles!

You can also hike Hooiberg Mountain, the highest peak on the island for amazing sunrise views. Explore ancient rock formations at Casibari and Ayo and you’ll even get to see some cave paintings from thousands of years ago. Or, explore Arikok National Park and swim in a natural pool formed along the shoreline and see some other-worldly landscapes.

The popular Palm Beach area has bars, clubs, restaurants, and beach parties. This area comes alive after sunset, offering a great place to meet other solo travelers and enjoy live music.

August is Aruba’s low season, and you can find discounted rates for Airbnbs. If you’re traveling on a budget, rooms, and apartments can be rented for as low as $45 USD/night!

If you book outside of the Palm-Eagle Beach area, you will need to rent a car, but rentals are affordable and allow you to explore the island on your own. Otherwise, public transportation is readily available, easy to use, and efficient.

Grenada, Spain

Located in one of Spain’s most magical regions, Andalusia, Granada is a hidden gem of a city and home to the world-renowned Alhambra.

Granada is a city with 333 days of sunny-dry weather, a beautiful culture, and so much more. Some of the best things to do in Granada are the Alhambra, walking around the city center, and enjoying panoramic views from the Mirador de San Nicolas.

This is truly the perfect city for all budgets and a great home base if you want to take day trips around the Andalusian region. Here, you can find wonderful hostels and Airbnb for as little as 40 euros per night, or pamper yourself with luxurious hotels.

As a local, I can confirm that Granada is one of the safest places for solo traveler women. As always, be aware of your surroundings, but overall, there is only one thing to look out for. If you see women with plastic bags and rosemary in their hands, avoid them. They are scammers who will approach you, hand you rosemary, and beg for money.

If you’re looking for a dreamy Spanish destination with amazing food, phenomenal culture, and one that’s perfect for day trips – look no further!

Whistler, Canada

Whistler Canada Lake

Whistler in Canada’s British Columbia is an excellent destination for outdoorsy female travelers, thanks to its proximity to the fjord-like Howe Sound, lush temperate rainforests, and some of the most epic peaks in the Cascade Mountains. There’s tons of adventures to choose from, ranging from backpacking treks and wildlife cruises to mountain biking trails and kayaking.

Whistler is famously a winter destination—in fact, it played host to the Winter Olympics in 2010. Accordingly, you can usually find pretty affordable hotel rooms in the warmer months, from around $80 USD to $150 USD a night (although, of course, you can find much fancier accommodations than that as well!).

The best things to do in Whistler all involve enjoying its incredible outdoor scene. For example, hit one of the hiking trails at the Garibaldi Provincial Park, like the stunning Wedgemount Lake Trail, which leads you to a turquoise alpine lake, or the bucket list-worthy Panorama Ridge Trail.

If getting out on the water is more your speed, rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard and hit any one of the vibrantly colored alpine lakes, like Alta or Green Lake. For a more relaxing activity, consider taking in the mountain views along the Peak to Peak Gondola, where you’ll get panoramic vistas of the surrounding ancient glaciers and mountain peaks.

One of the best things about Whistler in the summertime is that it isn’t very crowded. However, if you’d prefer for more people to be around you while you explore the outdoors, you may want to consider heading here on a weekend, when the outdoor spaces will be more crowded, as well as having a communication device, like a Garmin inReach.

If you’re wanting to make friends while you’re in Whistler, be sure to book a hotel with a hot tub. Because of its thriving ski culture, most of Whistler’s hotels have one and they’re an excellent place to meet other travelers at the end of the day!

Delhi’s a great base for day trips, too! The iconic Taj Mahal is just a 4-hour drive away. And on the way, you can stop by Mathura and Vrindavan, famous for their love stories and religious sites.
